Enrollment Interest Forms are sorted by language groups:

• Native English speaker
• Native Spanish speaker
• Bilingual speaker
                                   
Classes are created by language groups using a lottery system in the following order:

1. Siblings of current students
2. Children of LAS staff, Founding and Governing Board Members
3. Students residing in the Fruit Ridge attendance area
4. Students residing in the Sacramento City Unified School District
    (SCUSD) attendance area
5. Students from outside the SCUSD attendance area
                                 
Parent is notified of student's acceptance or placement on the waiting list
 

Parent interested in Language Academy of Sacramento
                                  
Parent attends information session (mandatory)

Parent attends classroom tour (optional)

Student is assessed for language proficiency
                                  
Enrollment Committee (Director, Coordinator and classroom teacher) meet with parent to make recommendation
                                  
Parent is informed of Enrollment Committee recommendation
