Our Demographics: Currently, we have 337 students enrolled in grades Kindergarten through eighth grade. About 84% of our students reside in the Oak Park area. Given our specialized program, we draw students from the Sacramento City Unified, San Juan Unified, and Elk Grove School Districts. According to the 2006 data, 80% of our students qualify for free or reduced lunch and 59% of our students are English Learners. This population is historically under-served in all academic and enrichment areas. However, students at the Language Academy of Sacramento possess language, leadership and cultural skills that uniquely prepare them to not only graduate from high school ready to enter college, but also to enter a competitive workforce in need of bilingual leaders. |
